Privacy Policy

Information the app handles

All of the following is stored only in the app's private storage on your device and is never sent anywhere:

• Scenarios, scripts and schedules you create — tap positions, timings, options and names.
• Run history — a local log of when a scenario was triggered and how it ended.
• App preferences — theme, your chosen "quick" scenario, and similar settings.
• Backups you export — Export writes a .json file and hands it to Android's share sheet. Where that file goes is entirely your choice; RemoteTap does not upload it.

Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of this data from your device.

Screen content and the Accessibility Service

RemoteTap uses Android's Accessibility Service to perform the taps and swipes you have configured. The service is used only to dispatch those gestures and to detect which app is in the foreground for the optional "auto-arm on app" and "open an app" features.

For the optional pixel-colour condition feature, the app captures a screenshot so it can read the colour of a single point you selected. That screenshot is processed in memory on your device, only the colour value is used, and nothing is saved or transmitted.

RemoteTap does not read, log, or transmit the text, images, or other content of your screen or of other apps.

Installed-apps list

So you can pick an app for the "open an app" pre-action or the "auto-arm on app" feature, RemoteTap queries the list of launchable apps on your device. This list is shown only on your device and is not transmitted.

Third-party services

RemoteTap contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Two platform services are involved only when you actively use the related feature:

• Google Play Billing — if you buy RemoteTap Pro, Google processes the payment. RemoteTap receives only a confirmation that the purchase succeeded; it does not receive your name, email address, or payment details. Google's handling of that transaction is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
• Garmin Connect — if you use a Garmin watch, RemoteTap exchanges scenario names and trigger commands with the watch through the Garmin Connect Mobile app over Bluetooth. This communication is local to your devices. The Garmin Connect app is covered by Garmin's Privacy Policy.

Children

RemoteTap is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect any data from children.

Data retention and deletion

RemoteTap stores nothing on any server, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. All app data lives on your device; removing it is as simple as clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. Backup files you exported are yours to keep or delete.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
